Kimberly's statement: The purpose
of The A.P.P.L.E. Philosophy is help those teachers who may feel mounting
stress throughout the workday. The A.P.PL.E. Philosophy is meant to inspire,
encourage, and re-energize the passion inside teachers so they can continue to
teach and be an inspiration to their students.
As a teacher, I
have had the opportunity to work in schools with a positive culture as well as
schools with negative environments. The A.P.P.L.E Philosophy was developed
during a time in my life when I experienced a setback in my professional
career. As an avid listener of Pastor Joel Osteen, he once made a statement during
one of his sermons that struck me personally: “If you complain you’re going to
remain; but if you praise, you’ll be raised!” That statement alone changed my
thinking pattern in what I perceived as a “professional setback” and the
A.P.P.L.E. Philosophy was developed as a way for me to stop feeling sorry for
myself, count my blessings, and use my testimony as a way to encourage others in a spiritual yet humorous way!
